Director • Teaching Artist • Actor • Singer

Emily (she/her), began her professional career in commercial theatre shortly after graduating from Binghamton University with a degree in Acting and Directing. At Binghamton, Emily was introduced to drama education. As a jack-of-all-trades, she honed in her theatre artistry at NYU Steinhardt's Educational Theatre in Colleges and Communities graduate program, focusing on directing, acting pedagogy, and applied theatre practices.
Emily is currently providing acting and vocal coaching, audition prep, and more throughout the five boroughs of NYC.

Her desire to facilitate stems from a complex relationship with theatre academia and its seemingly slow adaptation to a more diverse and pluralized professional world.
Emily prefers using theatre as a tool for social impact, making collaboration a vital part of her creative process.

Using Boal's demechanization, Meisner impulse, and Alexander movement techniques, Emily aims to encourage creative play by focusing on mind-and-body awareness in order to create a cohesive ensemble.
It is her belief that learning is a lifelong process that requires a symbiotic cycle between facilitators and participants through open dialogue.
